Msingi LMS

Built for the way institutions actually work
Msingi brings academic structure, curriculum, assessment, grading, engagement and student-success monitoring into one connected platform — purpose-built for Kenyan and East African universities, colleges and TVET institutions. Whether you are switching from a generic LMS that was never built for institutions here, or going digital for the first time, Msingi connects structure, teaching, assessment and student success.
Developed, managed, maintained and operated by TechSphere Consultants Ltd.
One platform. The whole academic journey.
Build once. Govern centrally. Deliver repeatedly. From master blueprints to AI-assisted grading, Msingi is a complete e-learning platform designed for the modern Kenyan learning institution.
Build an approved course once and deploy it into many live sessions across terms, semesters and campuses. Stop rebuilding curriculum every intake.
Review, rubric, score and give feedback in one workspace — with inline annotation, a comment bank and AI-assisted feedback.
Auto-scored objective questions, question banks and rubrics — with proctoring: tab-switch limits, enforced fullscreen and shuffling.
Embed questions inside a video, track progress, and see question-difficulty analytics for active, measured learning.
Import and export SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI and cmi5, and connect via LTI 1.3 with grade passback. Your content stays yours.
See who is falling behind — inactivity, overdue work and performance in one place — and intervene in time.
Invite a learner and they start studying immediately. Bulk-onboard from CSV/Excel with secure activation links.
Decide who may study and sit examinations, course by course (Paid / Partial / Pending) — without Msingi processing any payments.
Faculties, departments, programmes, semesters and sessions are native — so reporting and ownership match how you really operate.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need an IT team to use Msingi?
No. Msingi is a fully managed SaaS platform. TechSphere handles all the servers, updates, security and technical maintenance so your faculty can focus purely on education.
Can we bring our existing content — and take it with us?
Yes, in both directions. Msingi imports SCORM 1.2/2004, xAPI and cmi5 packages, and exports any Msingi course as a standards-compliant package. LTI 1.3 connects Msingi with the platforms you already use — no content lock-in.
Does Msingi handle student fees?
Msingi is a pure LMS — it does not process payments. It does control access by fee status per course: administrators mark each enrolment Paid, Partial or Pending. Pending blocks the course, Partial allows study and quizzes but not main exams, and Paid unlocks everything.
How secure is our institutional data?
Security is built in: role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, tenant separation, audit logging and encrypted connections (TLS). Msingi is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with compliance requirements confirmed during onboarding.
